The Saudi Arabian Section (SAS) of the American
Society for Nondestructive Testing was chartered in 1999.
Since then, the section has grown to over 250 individual and
corporate members. The section was founded in order to promote
the descipline of NDT as a profession, provide a forum for
exchange of NDT technical information through educational
materials and programs, and facilitate standards and services
for the qualification and certification of NDT personnel.
SAS has established three successful regional conferences
on NDT in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. The SAS section is the
most active section with the highest standing among the worldwide
NDT community.
The Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE)
was established in July 1972 by the Ministry of Labour and
Social Affairs (MLSA) as a professional institution that
helps Bahrain’s Engineers to contribute substantially
to the development and modernization of Bahrain. BSE has
vast experience in the organisation of international conferences,
seminars and workshops on various subjects in the engineering
arena.
